I started out with a 80Gb Tivo and installed a 160gb weak knees upgrade as a second drive. The original 80Gb drive just died so I ordered a 250Gb single drive upgrade from Weak Knees. I want to use the 160Gb second drive that I had in before as the second drive to the new 250Gb drive.

I know it can be done using the upgrade instructions, but I'm not sure which set of steps to use. The Tivo is TCD240080 model.

Do you have options on how the second drive can be formatted?

Also, can you backup the Tivo image from the new drive so if it or the second drive dies I can reformat and add the image back. I want to avoid buying a new drive in the future.
