    Weaknees Upgrade Drive Not Working

    I have a HUMAX DRT800, purchased from Weaknees. The Maxtor drive went bad, it was consistently getting stuck on Powering Up screen. I just ordered a 1 TB replacemnt/upgrade drive.

    I removed old drive a=nd replaced with new drive exactly according to instructions.

    Booting up the TIVO, I now get the Welcome screen, but then nothing but a blank white screen. I've tried powering down/up, the same thing happens.

    Ideas?

    Can you post your order number?

    Did you swap out the IDE cable with the new one we sent with the kit?
    Been here a long time . . .

      My order number is 600937. I didn't kinow I was supposed to swap the cable out, I will do that right now.

        I've tried with the new IDE cable included in my shipment, and my drive still does not boot. Both lights on the front of the TIVO are solid amber, but nothing at all displays on my TIVO, just a blank screen.

        I've tried reseating the cables and same result. It's not the TV, since yesterday it showed the Welcome screen, then white screen and this happened again when I retried.
