Purchased a 500gb upgrade from here for my Series 2 a month or more ago.

Finally broke out the instructions, opened up the machine and the drive bag and installed the drive. Unit now cycles on Welcome Powering up as if it can't id the drive.

I can hear/feel the new drive spin up although it sounds quite slow compared to the many PC drives I've worked with.

Putting the old drive back in works so it's not cables/power etc. Can't imagine it would be a problem drive out of the box.

The old drive works - just breaks up everyone once in a while so I am assuming dying original drive.

Suggestions? Who to talk to?
