Is there a way to copy on the recordings from an original tivo hard drive? I have several bad blocks where the OS is stored. I have a new hard drive which is prep'd but would like to copy recordings.

You'd have to do a full copy - meaning you'd overwrite the OS on the prepped drive. The problem is, if you aren't successful, you'll be losing the formatting on there, and the drive won't boot the TiVo.
