  • HELP Upgrading Drive on Series 3 648250

    Can't mount drive?

I get " No such device or address error" using the mount command (hda1, hdb2, etc)

Is there a command I can use to see what drives are detected

On the Bios I see the Tivo drive and the 1TB drive.

Does chipset matter? I'm using a non intel chipset. I'm using an ecs motherboard. Should I upgrade using a motherboard with an intel based chipset.

    Thanks for the help.

    You can try:

    hdparm -I /dev/sdb

and see what you get. Assuming it's a SATA drive, it should be "s" instead of "h".
    Been here a long time . . .
