Series 2 hard drive any good for a series three?

I recently bought the 500g upgrade for my DT series 2. I just upgraded all my entertaiment equipment (61" true 1080p DLP) and was lookingto get an HD series 3. Does anyone know if I can take the har drive out and install it into a new series 3 unit?

Unfortunately, you can't. The two machines use different hard drive types (and also the software is completely different).
