I purchased a replacement drive for my TiVO series2, installed it per the instructions, but I am not getting the setup screen - just black. The front of the TiVo has all of the light lit. Help?

Sounds like your power supply might be blown. That sucks. Try disconnect and reconnecting all cables carefully but firmly. If the problem persists, you can contact us to return your drive or forge ahead and pick up a replacement power supply here:

it seems to be getting power, lights are on and fan is running. Does that make a difference?Comment

Lights on the front and a spinning fan but a black picture are almost always indicative of a power supply failure. Doesn't rule out the possibility that the drive is bad, too, but I'd start with the power supply and hope that all your shows are still there.That's all there is to it!Comment
