Hello, I am in the process of upgrading a new dual tuner Tivo. I transitioned a lifetime subscription, and am taking the old weaknees 1 unit hard drive and using it as the slave drive for the new unit. I bought the weaknees twinbreeze and mounted the second drive, but didnt realize I still had to change anything on the old drive. However, its not recognizing the added drive, so I think I do. My questions are:
1 - Do I definitely have to run MFS on the new second slave drive (Former master one drive)
2 - Do I have to run MFS on the factory drive that shipped with the Tivo - one place seemed to indicate I didn't, another said there was a tool to run if the combined drives were over 150 gigs (Which they would be)
3 - I only have a laptop. I bought a usb to ide converter, but saw from previous messages on the board that it wasn't clear if this was supported on the mfs image disks, but I also saw that weaknees seems to include the usb to ide drivers on the "SATA" iso file. Any updates / clarification on using the mfs too with a usb to ide converter?
Thanks, a loyal Tivo and Weaknees customer.
