Disk Drive Standby

Just installed a new disk and everything works except it sounds like the disk does not wind down in the standby mode. Is there anyway I can tell.

On a TiVo, the drive never spins down, even in standby.

Been here a long time . . .

Drives NEVER spin down in standby in Tivos. They are always running.
