I am going for the gold in an attempt to install two new 750 GB drives in my HR10-250 that already has been upgraded to dual 400 GB drives.
I would like to keep my recordings.
I have made a backup onto the computer's C drive, and restored and tested it and it works fine.
Tiger’s Mfs Tools Boot Floppy doesn't seem to support anything over 137 GB when I have the two 400 GB old drives attached on the Primary ATA cable and the two 750 GB drives on the Secondary ATA cable. Is there a similar bootable floppy that will see 750 GB drives?
I'll try Hinsdale's
Section 10
Upgrade Configuration 5
Option #2) DD Copy / Mfsadd method (requires only 2 available IDE ports). Maybe that is my only hope Obi Wan.
Or is there a way of keeping my recordings using the Weaknees CD doing a 2 big drives to 2 bigger drives upgrade?
