Hi everyone. So I've upgrade several Tivo's (3) in the past, thanks to the Hinsdale instructions. Muchas cracias (way off spelling I know). It's been a couple years since my last one though.
One Tivo Series 2 TCD540040 I added a drive B (160GB) to has had some drive type errors for the past couple of weeks. Hey it's been a couple years since doing the upgrade, so it's time to change the drive out. Well here's the problem, I completely screw up both the A & B Drives, don't have backups, and the unit had a paid lifetime service. So now what can be done?
I read that the service agreement is kept on the Mobo, not the drives. So is there a place I can send this machine to get fixed? The recordings and Season passes are of no concern. I just want to get this unit working again.
