Restore failed :Internal error : 3.s

During the backup/restore procedure I get:

Restore failed :Internal error : 3.s (58.32%)

I'm trying to upgrade a 40GB Series 2 to a 160GB Drive.
I've tried two different new hard drives.
Is this a problem with my original drive ?
And is instacake the only way to solve it ?

Yup, that's likely a bad source drive. We don't really deal with instantcake, but if you want, you can send us your drive for formatting.
