Just wondering if a WeaKnees 400GB upgrade drive bought as a replacement drive for a TCD24008A model TiVo (and used for a couple of years) could be moved to a TCD540040 model TiVo (to replace the 40GB drive it originally came with)? I'm not looking to save any recordings or settings.

Is it simply a matter of doing a "clear and delete everything" after installation?

Or does it require going through the steps described at http://tivo.upgrade-instructions.com/ ?

Or something else? Or will it not work at all?
