I just received a H34 and two C31 clients. I want to move these to onother 5LNB installation. Of course the installer said you need a SWM LNB and that a SWM8 switch wouldn't work, which is clearly not the case. How about the C31's? Anything special there? Or do they just connect to an open SWM port? What do you select for the dish type during setup? Thanks.

You are correct: the installer is wrong.
The C31s can connect to an open SWM port, or a port off a splitter. They really don't even ask about a dish during setup since they don't see the dish. They only see the HR34.Been here a long time . . . -
