The various cabling diagrams I've seen show (if used) either a 1x4 or 1x8 splitter after the SWM, feeding the various receivers. Rather than cabling a system in this "star" or parallel configuration, can a system be cabled in a "series" configuration wherein after the SWM there are multiple suitable 1x2 splitters, where at each splitter, one output feeds a local receiver and the other output goes on to the next splitter in the chain (which also feeds a receiver) - and so on?
This would be comparable to a CATV design that uses taps or splitters at each TV/tuner.
Thanks
