I am working on a commercial MDU site, I was pretty comfortable with the place over 10 years ago, but haven't been back until today
It's a Sl5 disih feeding a SWiM8' s for the most part, some 16's and a 32. The outputs are run to splitters and spread around the building feeding 8-12 apartments with blockers for lack of knowing what they are called to isolate each receiver from the others.
I ran across a couple of buildings today that one or two of the sats are not showing up. Only one had the whole sat missing, the others either missing the even or odd transponders.
Can I "read" the LNB with my AIM meter on the input side of the SWiM8 and determine whether the LNB or the SWiM is bad? Would I be better off using a super buddy to read the lnb?
