SL3 SWM Expansion

I have a slimline with an SL3 SWM LNB. I am maxed out with 8 connections. I would like to expand this to at least 16. What is the best way to expand the capacity of this system? Is it possible to add another SWM 8 or do I need to rework the system so that I can add a SWM 16. Any and all help / Suggestions are appreciated.

Well, you don't really have a SWM8, right? So you can't add another.

What you need is a traditional LNB, plus a SWM16.

Thanks that explains why the installer gave me the song and dance about a SWM 16 not being reliable. He didnt have the parts. Hooking up the SWM 16 looks pretty straight forward. Would there be anything special I need to do to swap out the LNB other than run more than the one cable to the SWM 16?

Nope - just try not to move the reflector so that you don't lose the alignment.

I don't even think installers carry SWM16s on their trucks since they're basically never paid for by DTV.
