If you have a SWM dish, you just have to run a line from the power supply of the SWM dish to the HR23. -

It is a SL5SPIG-WNC Rev1. One wire out of head. Do I need to use the SWM Port on the HR23 . It has 2 sat inputs. Thanks for your quick response.Comment

Yup - you definitely do. You need a PI-21 or PI-29 for that dish to work.Been here a long time . . .Comment

splitter for pi-21
I want to add another HD receiver to my SL5 SWM. I purchased a zinwell 1-4 splitter. How do I connect it to the PI-21 to accommodate the 2nd receiver.Comment

Out of the PI21 into the splitter, then out of the splitter to your receivers.Comment

So connect the IRD output of the PI21 to the input of the splitter and any of the 4 outputs of the splitter to my two receivers. I will try that tomorrow.

Yes - that's exactly right. Since you'll be downstream of the splitter, you don't need to worry about the red ports on the splitter.Been here a long time . . .Comment
