Hr22, Hd24 Mrv

I have a HR22 and HD24 with a SWM2. I am trying to setup MRV, and cannot figure out if I can get away with just a DECA on the 22 or if I need the DECA Router Package plus a DECA on the 22. Having internet functions (ie OnDemand, widgets etc...) on the HD24 is not that important to me. Also, if I need the router kit, what type of splitter is in the center of the wiring diagram on the link below. Is it a SWM? In that diagram, could the 24 connect right to the SWM rather than the splitter?

For the HR22, all you need is the DECA.

But that will just enable MRV between the two units. If you want both to also have internet access, you'll ALSO need a DECA router package to bridge this SWM network to your broadband network.
