Legacy R15 Install

I am getting ready to install the SWM on my Directv system. I have the following DVR's HR24-100, HR20-700 and a R15-300. My question is Do I still need to run 2 cables from the Legacy ports to the R15? I don't care if I can record one channel and watch another on this unit, but I do want to get all the available SD channels.

If you only care about one tuner, then you can use only one cable.
