  • Simple? Single HR21 and SWM SL3

OK. I have the new HR24 and using existing dual cables and all is good at home.

Howver, I want to do a tail-gate with my older HR21 and the new SWM3 that has only the one output.

I have a PI21 21Volt power inserter and also have a 8 way SWM multiswitch. But, do I need the multiswitch for this installation? Or, can I simply connect the single output PI from the HR21 to the SWM3? I am not sure of the voltages that might show up at the HR21. The PI21 does show a "signal to IRD" jack and another "power to the SWM". Is that all I need?

no you dont need a switch ... the pi 21 has 2 connections on it ... connect the one that is for the swm to the swm 3 & the one for ird to the h 21

I think that I may need the Up Converter module? SUP-2400? Or is it even necessary because of the SWM? Thanks for the quick response by the way.
