  • Using a SWM-2 with a Multi-Switch

Need to know if the following configuration will work.

Multi-LNB dish goes to a multi-switch then from there is split to 8 rooms. Tried to connect a switch, which obviously didnt work, since I went into the switch with only one wire. (Was only able to catch half the channels)

Can I connect a SWM-2 instead of a normal switch, even though it would be splitting the signal on a coax coming from another switch?

    There is no SWM-2 . . .

You can chain switches in some situations, but in any of those, you'd need four wires from the first switch to the second.

      Swm-8

Can I use an SWM-8 and only use one two outputs, if I have a single wire coming from a switch?
      or could I use a DIRECTV SWS-2 Satellite 2-Way Wide Band (2 -2150 MHz) Splitter (SWS-2)?
or can I use a Directv Swm 2 Way Splitter 2-2150 Mhz 1 Port Power Passing With Weather Booster?

Are there any options that wouldn't require that I run another co-axial?

If you only have a single non-SWM cable, then no, there's no way to split it. Sorry.
