I'm having DirecTV installed at the house I'm buying at the end of the month. I found a recommended installer that was going to install the dish with the integrated SWM, but requested the SWM8 so I can feed in the OTA signal.
The lines from the dish will run into the basement where all the coax lines start feeding the house.

Following the wiring diagrams, I figured I can get a 1x8 splitter to take the SWM output and connect the existing coax lines to the splitter output. Then use the diplexer in each room to get the OTA signal.

Am I on the right track?
