    SMW LNB Question

    I have a SMW LNB (1 wire runs from the dish into my house) is it possible to use a High Frequency Splitter to send the signal to two SWS8WBP splitters?

    I have a single wire that runs to my attic that drops to my bedrooms and separate wires that run in my basement that are currently already plugged into a SWS8WBP but I would have to hate to run an additional 4 wires to my attic if it isn't not necessary.

    Any help is appreciated.

    I don't understand why you'd need two 1x8 splitters, since you can only get a max of 8 receivers/tuners.

    You can use multiple splitters, but they all have to be SWM-compatible splitters.

      I really do not need 2 1X8 splitters. I already have one from the initial install and it is only running to 3 tvs right now, the tech that did the directv install told us to just run 3 new coax lines from the 1X8 splitter to the attic.

      I just was looking for the simplest way to not have to run 3 new wires up to the attic and split the existing 1 wire for my upstairs bedrooms.

        Sounds like you need another SWM splitter in the attic.
