  • SWM LNB/PI question

    Hi, (WK) I have been researching the two different applications (SWM8 vs SWM LNB). ... and there is alot of good information here. The wiring diagrams for the SWM8 are great, but I can't find much regarding the SWM LNB and it's power inserter. Are there any configuration diagrams for this application?

    I am not aware of any, primarily because it is so straightforward. Line out from LNB into the PI, then from PI to the SWM. Or, line from dish to the splitter, then splitter to the PI...just be sure that if you got dish>splitter>PI, that you use the power passing port of the splitter to connect to the PI.

    PI=power inserter.

      Ok. Then here is a follow up question. I'm planning to Diplex CATV for high speed internet. ... and am not sure if the diplexer is before or after the power inserter, or if it even matters?

      Thanks again for your assistance.

        Sorry, I forgot to refer to the SWM LNB for my previous question. I know the SWM8 already has the diplexer built in.

        Thanks again.

          Shouldn't matter either way, but there's no reason to put it before the PI if you can just as easily put it after.
          Been here a long time . . .
