    R16-300 & 3 LNB 18"x20" Dish

    I replaced one of my receivers with the R16-300 DVR. How can I upgrade the single line that is going to the DVR so that I can watch one channel while I record another channel? I may at some time in the future like to upgrade the second receiver also. I am not planning for HD at the present time. Need all the part numbers so I can place my order.

    You need a SWM dish or, if you have a 5LNB dish now, you can use a SWM multiswitch. See:

      Is the Directv SWM 3LNB dish compatible with a standard D11-500 receiver as well as the R16-300 DVR?

        Not compatible with the D11. You'd have to get the swm 8 multiswitch if you want to use a D11.
