We are running a SWME2 configuration with 2 of the SPLIT8's and 2 PI29Z's to get a total of 13 tuners and are experiencing some signal loss. Sometimes they all work fine, sometimes 3-4 of the 6 DVR's are Searching For Signal.The run from the LNB to the SWM is about 100ft. Runs from the SWM to the HR21 PROS are about 8-10ft. there is 1 run that is between 100-150' from the SWM to the PRO. Is ther any other hardware that we could use to solve this problem.

100 feet is pretty far for Dish to SWM. We'd recommend getting a polarity locker in there to add some signal strength. We have them here:

Thanks for the reply. We will definitly get one of those. We are also going to try to power the E2 instead of the SWM8's individually. Our rep from the distributor told us that we did not need the E2 power supply, that we could use the power supplies from the SM8's.
Is this really the case? I haven't seen any diagrams or threads that address using PI29Z's with an E2.Comment

We always recommend that the E2 be used with the E2 power supply, but I believe that the separate SWM PIs should work.Comment
