  • SWM LNB Question

I've been debating upgrading to SWM for a long time and have yet to pull the trigger. I would like to go with the LNB and get rid of the multi switch all together. However, I read on a different forum that the SWM LNB has issues with cold weather. Is this true and if it is, have they fixed it? I live in South Dakota and it gets quite cold here in the winter time so that would definitely be a deal breaker for me.

We really haven't heard that, but it's certainly possible. But we've sold plenty to customers in cold areas and we haven't heard of problems.

Just be aware that the power inserter definitely needs to be indoors or in a weatherproof cabinet.

Thanks for the quick response. With my current setup it will be easy to tie in a PI in my basement. And I've done the research so I know that the PI won't be too far away from the dish. Long as there's no cold weather issues anymore it sounds like a great deal to me. Will really clean up the installation on my roof.
