new receiver old phaseIII dish

Is there anyway I can get a d12-500 (SWM?)receiver to work with an old phase III dish? Just in case your wondering we go camping every other weekend and gotta watch my buckeyes play..thanks in advance for any help

Yes, D12 works with the old dish.

Do I have to reset the d-12 somehow then cuz I cant receive a signal only with my old box.

I'm not sure how, but yes, you probably need to tell it to use a non-SWM dish.
