SWM Splitting / movers connection

Can the SWM-8 handle a SWS-8 on one port and a SWS-2 on the other without losing too much signal?

The 8 will be feeding the house while the 2 will feed 2 DVRs in the main home theater. This may sound strange, but I have a video distribution system that will distribute video from both DVRs to any port in the house.

Is a roof mount installation on my new house going to cost extra, or is it standard practice?

I requested a NON-SWM dish this shouldn’t be a problem right?

That should work as long as all of the unused ports are terminated, and as long as you don't exceed the maximum of 8 tuners per SWM8.

As far as the roof mount - that will likely depend on the installer, but my sense is that in general it does cost extra.

A non-SWM dish is standard in most installations of 4 tuners or less.
