I don't really understand, "which should convert all to SWM". If you connect SWM-compatible receivers to the 1x8 splitter properly, then yes, they will then be connected to your SWM.

I would get rid of the 1x8 and connect ONE receiver to the SWM (through the power inserter). Then, once that works, you can start adding parts and receivers one at a time.

First of all Jeffis right If you have an HD systemit should not be plugged into the 4x8 next the R16 is not compatable wiht the SWM system so scrap that IDea. Sounds like the easiest thing for you to do is replace the 4x8 with a 6x8 and take the swm back.
