  • Sws-4 w/ SWM

    Hello,
I was wondering the correct way to install a sws-4 .
I want to do a basic install in Ca tract home. I want to install the dish on the roof with the cable box on the side of the house below. My house has no garage, so now power supply at the location. Inside the cable box i want to put the sws-4 and i want to put the power inserter in side the living room next to the tv. I will run the PI with the ird to the reciever and the swm to the cable box. I was wonderin on the connection at the cable box ??? From the swm 3 lmb and the swm out from the tv ???? Can I make the right connection in the cable box ??
In ?? power pass ??? out ??? LMB to in or out of the power pass ???!!!!
    I am wanting to use a hr-22 and a d-12 recievers

I really don't understand. What is the 'cable box' in your situation?

Do you have a SWM LNB or a SWM8?
    Been here a long time . . .

Hi, The cable box is the junction box on the outside house , its empty with only cables inside living there. It houses all of the home run rg-6 feeds and where cable tv usally comes in from the street . swm-3 lmb is used in my area ,swm-5 is for hispanic programing here too... Thanks for your help!! Blazer

If you have the SWM LNB then just run the line to the box, split it there. Be sure that the red power passing port on the splitter is the line that is used to connect to the power inserter, which you can connect at one of the IRDs.

              You can go:

SWM LNB - to - power inserter - to - splitter and house receivers.
