  • SWM Diplex after SWM

    Hello All

So what i want to do is.

    Dish-30'-SWM8-Splitter1:2-to two Short run IRD's.
Out2-100'-Diplex-splitter1:2-short runs undiplex and to IRD

    Hope that makes sense.

I want to take the SWM2 output and run 100' to the cableTV demark, Insert cable on the line then Run to the TV's on that side of the house and undiplex the Cable and SWM signals. Sending them to the appropriate Boxes.

Thanks in advance. the info on this site has been a help to me many time so thanks for that as well.

    Supplemental,

I understand that with SWM tech that the Sat Frequency occupy approximately >2Ghz+ and Cable usually <2Ghz. And that theoretically my proposed install is possible.

I'm just looking to see if anyone has ever had this work before?

    Thanks,
    Flandon

You do not diplex a cable signal into the line using a diplexer. You use the off-air input on the SWM. You only diplex to split it apart.

Your wiring also needs to include the SWM power inserter.

        Jeff,
        thanks for your reply.

My problem is that there is no cable where i need to put the SWM. We are trying to get Sat to the other side of the house for Him and cable for Her. The cable is already there. And we found a pipe to the other side but we will only be able to pull 1 cable and the 2 cat5 we need to go the otherway.

You can do this all with the one cable - the power goes back up the same cable from inside the house.
          Been here a long time . . .
