2nd SWM???
I have DirectTV. There is a 6X8 multiswith outside the house near the dish. Currently there are 4 lines in from the dish and 8 lines going out to various places in the house. In one location I would like to add a DVR (ie 2 tuners). It would be difficult to get another line to that location. Would a WeaKnees SWM (1x2) work as well as 2 seperate cables from the multiwitch? A regular splitter does not. Would I need anything else? Thanks

Nope - that won't work at all. You need a SWM to use a 1x2. So you'd need this setup:
