Dual Tuner Question

I'm confused, and in a similar boat as hopdog.

I thought a SWM-8 has legacy ports that you can use with older equipment, including my HD TiVo, but it will still require the 2 lines from the dish.

Not true?

WK-michael was saying that they will not work at all with SWM technology. You can use the legacy ports from a SWM to a legacy box, but you'll have to run 2 lines from the legacy ports if it's a DVR.
