SWM8 Died

SWM8 Died

No signal to any of the 4 units (1 DVR, 3 receivers). Replaced SWM8 with a standard multi switch and receivers come up okay.
Questions:
1 - how do I trouble shoot the SWM8?
2 - can I use the SWM port 2 instead of SWM port1?

Yes - 2 and 1 are identical except for power. Power has to go in through SWM 1. Have you tried just rebooting it?

Michael, thanks for response. Not sure what happened. Have patch panel and suspect lose crimp F connector. Remade all patch cables with compression F connectors. Reinstalled SWM8 and all was okay. If it was an electron gremlin instead of a bad connection the problem will be back. Appreciate your help. Gary....
