Good Afternoon,
Question for all the SWM Experts out there.
Do we need to use the power inserter?
We just had 2 installs and we were never sent the PI. This was before I did my research and found that it was required to have the PI.
The first install was a 1 room HD-TV. We went from the receiver to the splitter power passing port and then from that to the ground then to the swm lnb. We couldn't aim the dish with meters so we just used the old TV-2-Phone method.
Are we going to have problems in the future with that setup? I am thinking that since the receivers don't provide enough power to power the LNB at some point in time this setup will fail.
Please let me know what you all think.
Thanks
Rich
