  • long cable run from dish to equipment

I've installed a SWM-8 replacing the 8 way multiswitch I had previous. Two SWM HD DVR's and an older legacy port DVR using only one channel (3 recievers total)- system seems to work fine, but I do have a long cable run (about 120 feet) from the slimline dish to a polarity locker, then the SWM-8. and am concerned about possible signal loss or weak signals from that long a run. The cable runs to the DVRs from the SWM-8 average about 75 feet each. I have the Sonora polarity locker 1422a installed at the SWM-8 (2 foot RG6 cables) to help with the long run, but should I also install some amplifiers in the lines between the dish and the polarity locker? If so, should these amplifiers be as close to the dish as possible?

Just want to make sure that I have the strongest signal possible -

You should be fine with those distances. Nevertheless, if you want to get an amplifier, it would go between the power inserter and the SWM.
