Will SWM work with round dish and R-16 receiver?

I have a round dish and two R-16 receivers (with the SWM symbol on the input).

Will the SWM-8 work added to this setup, so I can get dual-tuner capability for the tuners over the existing single cable running to each receiver?

It's technically not supported, but we've heard of people doing it, and we don't see why it wouldn't work.
