We've put in a very standard SWM setup that follows http://www.weaknees.com/pdf/swm-wb68.pdf. This is all in parallel to a previous 3LNB setup using Spaun multiplex eq.
What we are seeing is that after a day or so, the tuners are non-responsive to remotes or on-tuner buttons. That is you can't bring up the guide or any other activity. The audio video is fine on the channel that happened to be on, but you can't change channels or anything. Of course a reset returns to normal functionality and then about a day later frozen again.
These same tuners worked fine with the previous dish and cable runs.
We've tried 1x2 and 1x8 splitters to see if there was a loss through the splitter causing it. But there is no difference.
There was a software upgrade for the tuners last week which I was hopeful would maybe address the problem, but if anything things seem to freeze more regularly now.
Since it works some of the time, I tend to lean towards a software problem in the tuners, but wanted to check if anyone had experience along these lines and might have a suggested troubleshooting path?
