i have a prewired house - looking at buying the swim switch to make it work. I will run one hd dvr and one hd box. how does this handle local tv channels?
Locals from the satellite? They're just like any other channel.
Locals via antenna? Assuming you have an HR20 or an AM21, you can diplex the OTA signal in through the SWM (built-in) and then diplex it out at the unit.
