SA 8300 HD falls asleep

TimeWarner gave me a 8300 but the hard drive falls asleep late at night with then only show press any key to restart, so there is not live picture. I am sure it reduces hd wear and tear but I'd like to reprogram it so I wouldn't have to press any key and wait for the unit to awaken. Any thoughts on how to do this?

We don't think that can be changed on that unit.
