Flashing red lights

Just connected my 1TB to the 8300HD got the connected message. However am getting red flashes in the blue lights. What does it mean?

This is my third HD from you as the sizes have increased. My 300GB died after I think three years. I love these external drives as I record a ton of stuff.

Sorry about that. TiVo is, indeed, our mainstay and our passion. But we do try to support as many DVR models as possible.
