HR20 HD issues

My old HR20 works for live TV, but any recorded programs won't play. Actually don;t know if they are really recording either.

If I select a recorded program, I get a black screen and no functionality No Play, FF, etc, etc.

HD gone, or going bad?

I'd like to save the receiver if possible as I do use the off air tuner.

Thoughts/Ideas?

Have you tried just rebooting the unit?

Any chance that somehow the DVR service has come off your DIRECTV account?

Been here a long time . . .

I have, but am going to try that once more this evening.

I have other receivers in my system and the others (HR24, HR21) work just fine.

The HR20 indicates that it IS recording, it's just that nothing seems to happen.

A second reboot seems to have cleared the problem.... The antique is working again.
