HR20-700 HD Failed. Fails HD scans.

Thank you for reading. My HR20-700 is telling me that its HD is failed. It goes to a blue screen where it scans up from 0 to 100%. It does this repeatedly while the blue LEDs on the front go in a circular motion. I have other large SATA HDs available. Is it possible to replace this myself? What type of formatting would be required? This possible?

Replacing these yourself are pretty complicated in a variety of ways - we don't support or recommend it.
