  • upgrading to HD in RV

I'm interested in upgrading my R16 DVR to an HD DVR but have the limitation of two coaz. The SWM seems to resolve this problem. I currently use a tripod with a ROUND dish. What dish is now required (5 or 3 LNB)? How difficult is this to align and what signal meter should I use? I have a meter that just shows I have a signal.

If you only are planning to have one HD DVR inside the RV, then two cables are sufficient, without a SWM. Just run one cable to each input on the DVR and you're all set.
    Been here a long time . . .

What dish should I purchase, and signal meter? I would have to re-align each time I move.

I'd recommend a 3LNB SWM dish, so long as your equipment will be SWM-compatible. See:

        DIRECTV Dish

Also, you will want a nonpenetrating mount and cinderblocks. We have the mounts in stock, but they aren't listed on the site...so just contact us if you are interested in one. Tripods don't work well with these large dishes.

We don't sell meters, but you'll ideally want a swm-compatible meter that can see the 99, 101, 103 satellites.
