Okay, here's the setup:
-24 port gigabit switch
-1 PC, 4 laptops
-4 HDTV's with HDMI
-1TB gigabit NAS connected to switch
All computers have Windows XP installed and have access to the NAS which supports Samba and NFS. The TV's need to be interfaced with something which will play movies, music and photos from the gigabit NAS, anything else is a bonus. No server or software should have to be installed on any computer to interface with the TV. Is the AppleTV right for this setup or is some special Apple software required on a dedicated media server?
