250GB Upgrade Questions

Just ordered it and will ship my AppleTV off this week for the 250GB upgrade.

After it is installed is the Apple TV now "open" meaning can I install other things on it, ssh, etc?

Is the new drive quieter?

Does the new drive produce less heat?

No - we don't do the hacks. Those would be wiped with each OS upgrade, plus Apple isn't too keen on us performing them.

The drive is probably a bit quieter, but has about the same heat footprint.

Been here a long time . . .

Where on your website does list AppleTV hard drive upgrade?

I plan to buy an HD DVR from you with the bigger hard drive, but would like to upgrade my AppleTV too!
