Hi,
I am trying to get a handle on what kind of set top box I need to convert my old analog TV. I understand that the converters will be able to provide the off air HDTV signals at analog quality to my set. The Pro HD3150 DigitalStream doesn't specify that it can deliver 480i. However, it does have an S-Video and a yellow video out plus a red& white audio out.
I have an analog TV. It has the yellow, red & white RCA inputs (I believe these are CVBS?). As far as I know the TV is 480i resolution (it's probably 15 years old). It does not have the Y,PB,PR (Component) inputs.
What happens if you put a 480p signal to an old analog TV? Can it deal with it? Can you put anything but 480i over a CVBS connection or an S-Video connection?
Thanks,
