What Directv HD model can i connect to my Series 1 via Serial ??

Hi All,

I have a Sony SV2000 series 1 tivo and would like to hook it to a Directv HD reciever via serial connection

I do realize it wont record in HD but some of directv stations are still SD.

If none exist is there a recommended model reciever that i can connect via IR blaster?

All existing Directv HD receivers would need to be controlled by a standalone TiVo (in your case, the SVR2000) using an IR blaster cable. And you're correct that it won't record HD, but you should be aware it also won't either see or pass through the HD signal.
